What This Kit Is
One cone. One measured spot.
The Starter Kit is the simplest way to try EZCones. You get one cone, one marker, and 40 yards of tape built into the cone. Good for:
Solo training. 1-on-1 coaching. Timed splits. Small drill setups. Trying the system before adding more cones.
The cone holds the start. The marker holds the far end. The tape sets the distance.
In the Kit
What you get.
-
1 EZCone
A sports cone with a built-in 40-yard measuring tape. Pull the tape out by the handle. Mark the distance. Retract it when the drill ends.
-
1 EZMarker
A flat marker for the far end of the drill. Use it under a regular cone or on its own. It holds the spot so you don’t need another person holding the tape.
What This Kit Replaces
One cone. Less Setup
- The tape measure — One less thing to carry.
- The pacing — No more heel-to-toe guessing.
- The second person — Set a distance by yourself.
- The setup guesswork — Same distance every rep.
How the Tape Works
Pull. Set. Reel
Place the EZCone where the drill starts.
-
Pull the tape from the base of the cone.
-
Walk to the distance you need: 10 yards. 20 yards. 40 yards.
-
Drop the EZMarker or second cone at the yardage. Run the drill. When you’re done, use the handle on top to reel the tape back in.
-
Same setup next time. Same distance every rep.
Good for solo setup
Drills it covers.
-
Solo splits
Set the cone at the start. Pull the tape from the base. Drop the marker at your split distance.
-
1-on-1 coaching
Park. Gym. Open field. Set the cone. Pull the tape. The marker holds the far end.
-
Off-day work
Same drill between practices. Same distance every time. No tape measure to bring.
-
Demo or trial
Try the system with one cone. Add another cone later. Nothing gets wasted.

-
What's the difference between Starter and All-Star?
Starter is 1 EZCone and 1 EZMarker — built for solo athletes, 1-on-1 trainers, or anyone who wants to test the system before scaling up. All-Star is 2 EZCones, 4 EZMarkers, and a carry bag — built for coaches running real team practices with multiple measured distances at once.
-
Is one cone really enough?
For solo work and 1-on-1 sessions, yes. One cone holds the start and the tape sets the distance to the marker. The setup works for any single measured distance — a 10-yard split, a 40-yard sprint, or any drill where the same spacing repeats.
-
Can I add more cones later?
Yes. Each EZCone works as a standalone or as part of a larger setup. Most people who start with the Starter Kit eventually add a second cone — at that point you're running the All-Star setup. Nothing in the Starter is wasted when you scale up.
-
What's the EZMarker for?
Small flat marker that holds the far end of the tape. With one cone, the marker is what lets you set a distance without needing a second person. The marker sits flush on the field, holds the spot, and stays in place when an athlete kicks past it.
-
How sturdy is the cone?
The cone is PVC vinyl, 12 inches tall, 8.2 inches at the base, 18 ounces. Noticeably thicker than lightweight practice cones from a sporting goods store. The mechanism inside the cone is PETG.
-
How is it shipped?
Hand-assembled in Tampa, Florida and shipped in protective packaging. Tape is fully retracted inside the cone for transport.
